Things Were Never Quite Like They Used to Be

I think I remember what it was like to be sure about everything. It wasn't that long ago, really. What's the deal with the tendency to romanticize the beauty of the past and lament the present? No time for that nonsense and no time for philosophy, just try to imagine how you'll eventually look back at today and think about how great it was. Ha! I'm going to finish my paper now.
